If we have to characterize what OPEN means to us in one word, it’s freedom. Ultimately, that is the feeling we get when riding our bikes, and we hope you do too. For us personally, OPEN also represents freedom in a different way, free from the usual pressures of the (bike) business, of “new and improved” product launches and sales targets.

A few years ago, seeing everything that was happening in the world, we concluded that freedom needs to permeate everything we do at OPEN. While we are under no illusion that a tiny bike company can change the world, we simply didn't want to support anything "un-free" anymore.

At the same time, we have been working for years on pushing production to the next level. This all comes together in moving our frame production to our partner CARBONTEAM in Portugal. Their commitment, the production technology and the quality control are second to none, and the people are wonderful. So truly a win-win.
